2 Days Workshop on Antenna Design and Simulation

The two days’ workshop deals with Fundamentals of Antennas, Transmission lines, waveguides, including design aspects of various Antennas. Computational Techniques in Antennas, Fractal antenna design are to be addressed. Basics of Array Antenna’s Adaptive Principle’s, reconfigurable antenna simulations, Broadband Antenna & Radom design using CST are also to be dealt. Hands on training using CST will be provided. All presentations are invited from experts in the above field.

Workshop Duration: 2 days (16 hrs.)

The duration of this workshop will be two consecutive days, with eight hour session each day in a total of sixteen hours properly divided into theory and hands on sessions. At the end of this workshop, a small competition will be organized among the participating students and winners will be awarded with a Merit Certificate.

Two Day workshop Schedule:

DAY 1-

• Introduction to CST

• Conical horn antenna using CST

• Microstrip slot coupled patch antenna using CST

• Band Pass Filter analysis using CST

• Reflector Analysis using CST

• Array & Periodic structure analysis

• Techniques in CST

• Waveguide array unit-cell analysis in CST

• Wide band antennas & antennas systems for EW/GNSS applications.

DAY 2-

• Hands on Practice on CST Tool

• Designing Microstrip Patch Antenna on CST Tool

• Analysis of Far Field Pattern and Surface current on CST Tool.

• Fabricating Antenna

• Testing the designed Antenna

Note: These are just the major aspects that we will be discussing, each point will be elaborated in detail with demonstrations of the tools and techniques.

Prerequisite for Workshop:

• Passion to learn new creative things.

• Having basic knowledge of Computers.

• Basics of programming.

• PC/laptop must have at least 2GB RAM.

• Windows is preferable

• In case of MacBook or Linux, You need virtual window or .exe installers.

• Laptop/PC must have Bluetooth and its drivers.
